Jaquavous S. Doucette

Jaquavous S. DoucetteJaquavous S. Doucette is a senior majoring in mass communications with a minor in criminal justice, at Prairie View A&M University. He is passionate about political communication and is dedicated to leadership, advocacy, and creating opportunities that uplift students across the state.

Mr. Doucette is a first-generation college student whose journey began in Orlando, Florida, before settling down in Fort Worth, Texas. His service goes beyond campus life. He is the co-founder of Serve Us Sunday, a nonprofit organization that provides essential resources to under-resourced communities, including an annual back-to-school drive supporting hundreds of students and families.

Throughout his collegiate career, Mr. Doucette has served as Director of the Campus Activities Board, Mister Sophomore on the PVAMU Royal Court, Deputy Chief of Staff for the 2024–2025 Student Government Association, and was recently elected SGA President for the 2025–2026 academic year. In 2024, he was nationally recognized as an AT&T Rising Future Maker, an honor awarded to student leaders who are making meaningful impacts on their campus and in their communities.

Mr. Doucette was appointed Student Regent of the Board of Regents by Governor Gregg Abbott. He is serving a one-year term to expire on May 31, 2026.
