New Bachelor/Master Degree
New bachelor’s and master’s programs that meet the following criteria are approved (subject to staff review) if there are no objections received during the 30-day public comment period prior to submission to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- The program has institutional and governing board approval;
- Adequate funds are available to cover the costs of the new program; and
- The program will be offered by a university or health-related institution.
Process
- Review by the A&M System Office of Academic Affairs
- Submit a new degree program request with all required documents via email to AA-AgendaItems@tamus.edu.
- Approval by the Board of Regents
- Following A&M System Board approval, the A&M System Office of Academic Affairs will submit the new degree program request to the THECB on behalf of the member institution.
- Review and consideration of approval by the THECB
