Academic Appointments (Non-Board)

Certain appointments (e.g. vice presidents, deans, and deputy/associate directors of agencies) no longer require direct approval of the Board.  Instead, they are submitted to the A&M System Office of Academic Affairs for review and approval by the Chancellor.

The three types of “non-board” academic appointments are:

    1. Appointment of vice presidents, deans, deputy and associate directors of agencies.
    2. Interim Appointments of vice presidents, deans, deputy and associate directors of agencies.
    3. External Advisory Board Member Appointment of centers and institutes (provided the centers and institutes are Board-approved).
