Texas A&M University System Member Institutions
All Texas A&M University System member institutions are required to include specific elements in their website footers to comply with the Texas Administrative Code, applicable state law, and established A&M System policies.

These requirements apply to all public-facing institutional websites.

Footer Requirements at a Glance
Each website footer must include:

  • The “Member of” Texas A&M University System logo 
  • A copyright statement 
  • A set of required links

Details for each requirement are provided below. 

Texas A&M University System Logo 
The official “Member of” Texas A&M University System logo must be included in the footer of all member institution websites.

Copyright Statement 
Each footer must include a copyright statement containing: 

  • The copyright symbol (©) or the word “Copyright” 
  • A year or year range showing when the current version of the website was published and updated 
  • The official name of the institution 

The phrase “All rights reserved” may be included but is not required. 

Examples:  
© 2024 Texas A&M University System 
© 2023-2026 Texas A&M University System. All rights reserved. 

Required Links 
Website footers must include links required by the Texas Administrative Code, state law, and A&M System policy.

  • All links must point to the official source.  
  • Specific required links may be grouped together on a single Policies page, provided that the Policies page itself is linked in the site footer. 

Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education are required to include specific links in their website footer. Some links may point to statewide resources, while others must be created and maintained by the individual agency or institution.

Institution and Agency Specific Links
The Texas Department of Information Resources requires all Texas state agencies and institutions of higher education to include agency‑ or institution‑specific links for the resources listed below. Each agency or institution must create, maintain, and link to its own content to satisfy these requirements.

  • Digital Accessibility, including the coordinator contact information 
  • Privacy 
  • Linking 
  • Fraud 
  • Accommodations 
  • Open Records 
  • Campus Carry 
  • Compact with Texans

A&M System‑level links (such as the A&M System privacy page) appear on this site only as examples and do not fulfill compliance requirements for individual agencies or institutions.

Institutions and agencies should coordinate with their local web team to confirm approved URLs and ensure compliance.
