The SkillBridge Program is an internship opportunity available to transitioning service members during approximately the final 12 weeks of military service. Offered through the U.S. Department of War, SkillBridge provides service members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, and internships during their final 180 days of service.
SkillBridge connects transitioning service members with industry partners to participate in real-world job experiences that support career readiness and successful transition into the civilian workforce. Participants continue to receive their military pay and benefits from the Department of War while completing an unpaid internship with The Texas A&M University System Offices.
The SkillBridge Internship Program is designed to enhance the skills, training, knowledge, and professional experience of transitioning service members as they prepare for civilian employment after military service.
Through this program, participants receive practical, hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals across various departments within The Texas A&M University System Offices.
