Andrea Pereira serves as the A&M System’s Deputy General Counsel and senior advisor to the General Counsel assisting in the management of the practice groups and the legal affairs of the Office of General Counsel. She provides legal advice and counsel to administrators, faculty, and staff of the A&M System with a focus on complex transactional projects ranging from research, intellectual property, healthcare, information technology, athletics, and other commercial transactions. She also manages the A&M System Policy Office.

Andrea joined the Office of General Counsel in 2010.  She has over 20 years of experience as a corporate attorney handling a wide range of transactional and corporate matters, including: mergers and acquisitions; complex business and financial transactions; securities offerings and public/private partnerships. Prior to joining OGC, Andrea was in private practice as a Senior Associate in the corporate group at Andrews Kurth LLP in The Woodlands, TX.  Previously, she was an Associate in the corporate and securities team at Dechert LLP in Philadelphia, PA.
