The SkillBridge Program is an internship program available for approximately 12 week period for service members. The SkillBridge Program, offered by the U.S. Department of Defense, is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. SkillBridge connects transitioning service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences. The service member continues to receive all pay & benefits from the Department of Defense while participating in a non-paid internship with the A&M System.
The SkillBridge Program is designed to enhance the skills, training, knowledge, and experience of transitioning service members, assisting them in their goals of securing employment post their military service.
