A&M System New Manager Training Program

This program is designed to help new managers master the most essential aspects of their role and set them up for success in their first 30+ days. The courses included in the program are listed below along with their primary objective. Each course is hosted in TrainTraq, The Texas A&M University System’s Learning Management System. To complete the program, begin with the Introduction Course, then progress through the courses in the order listed, concluding with the Capstone Course.

  2. Once you’ve completed the Introduction Course, continue with the following courses. It is recommended you complete these courses in the order displayed below:
    1. 1002 Management Overview for New Supervisors
      This course provides a clear understanding of your role and responsibilities as a supervisor within The Texas A&M University System.
    2. 2114108 Working in Workday for Managers
      This course teaches you how to navigate HR and payroll processes using the Workday system.
    3. 2114955 TrainTraq for Managers
      This course explains how to manage employee training and development through the TrainTraq platform.
    4. 2111125 ADA for Supervisors and Faculty
      This course helps you understand how to respond appropriately to ADA-related issues and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
    5. 2113158 Leave Guidance for Supervisors
      This course shows you how to administer paid and unpaid leave correctly according to System regulations.
    6. 2113159 FMLA and Parental Leave Guidance for Supervisors
      This course outlines the requirements and best practices for managing family and parental leave for your employees.
    7. 1003 Managing Employee Performance
      This course prepares you to conduct effective performance evaluations and support employee success.
