Special Arrangements for Deductible/Maximum Out-of-Pocket

For employees, retirees  and dependents covered by the A&M Care plan, J plan or 65 PLUS plan who had surgery scheduled prior to 8/31/17 that was cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey and rescheduled after 9/1/17, special arrangements will be made to process your surgical claim based on the deductible and out-of-pocket maximum you had incurred prior to 9/1/17.  You will need to provide documentation from your physician regarding when the surgery was originally scheduled, that it was cancelled due to Hurricane Harvey-related concerns, and the date for which the surgery was rescheduled.

Prescription Medications and Refills

Knowing that many individuals in the gulf coast area have had to evacuate and may not have had the opportunity to take their medications with them or their medications may have been lost or damaged, Express Scripts has suspended the “refill too early” restriction for those who live in any of the counties designated in Governor Greg Abbott’s state disaster declaration.  This means that you will be able to refill your prescription even if it was recently filled.  The lifting of this restriction remains in place 30 days from the date of the Governor’s declaration.

For assistance with prescription needs, please contact ESI’s A&M Care Plan Prescription plan customer service team at: (866) 544-6970.

In addition, for Home Delivery and Specialty (Accredo) Medications, special arrangements may be made to hold shipments, ship to a temporary alternate address, or transfer your prescription to a retail pharmacy for dispensing if you are unable to receive your medication by mail.  To make these arrangements, contact Express Scripts Customer Service at 1-866-544-6970.
