
Student Employee of the Semester Award
The Student Employee of the Semester (SOS) Award recognizes the efforts of System Offices student employees each spring and each fall semester.
The award recipient will be announced in conjunction with the announcement of recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Award after the spring and fall semesters (typically in July and December).
The SOS award winner will receive the following:
- Certificate signed by the Chancellor
- Engraved pen set
- A check in the amount of $500
Nomination Process
Nominations will be solicited from all System Offices employees. Nominations of System Offices student employees written by employees of other system members or people outside the System are welcome also. You can fill out and Submit the Form Online
To be eligible for consideration, the student employee must meet the following criteria:
- The nominee must have four months continuous service with System Offices in a student worker or student technician position.
- The nominee must be attending an institution of higher learning or some other educational institution.
- The student must have been a credit to System Offices through his or her dedication, dependability, initiative, performance and punctuality.
Selection Process
The Employee of the Quarter (EOQ) Committee will serve as the selection committee for this award.

To avoid conflicts of interest, the EOQ committee members may not submit nominations.
The committee will select the Outstanding Student Employee of the Semester Award recipient based on the following criteria:
- Dedication
- Dependability
- Initiative
- Performance
- Punctuality
