Request For Application: Pre-K Partnership Collaborative Districts
The Texas A&M University System, in collaboration with the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Education Agency, is offering a grant opportunity to strengthen early childhood education through Pre-K partnerships. A total of three districts within the state will be selected to receive a one-time award of $125,000 to implement a Collaborative District Model. This model facilitates direct partnerships between school systems and high-quality child care programs, to expand pre-k access, integrate resources, and provide full-day learning options for families. Selected districts will receive comprehensive support from the teams at Texas A&M University System, Texas Workforce Commission, and Texas Education Agency, ensuring access to the resources and guidance necessary for building strong, sustainable partnerships.
Application Due Date: October 31, 2025
In November 2021, the Texas Workforce Commission approved an allocation of stimulus funding for the expansion of Pre-K partnerships throughout the state. A portion of these funds were directed to the Texas Education Agency to work with The Texas A&M University System to also support Pre-K partnership development.
These partnerships are designed to enhance educational outcomes. Formal partnerships create opportunities to secure additional funding, ensuring sustainable benefits for both the district and childcare providers. Our goal is to expand access to exceptional early learning opportunities that create lasting positive impacts across communities.
