Supporting Innovative Technology and Education

The purpose of the Council on Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE) is to support the educational mission of the system members in matters related to technology use in the design, development, delivery, and assessment of courses and programs, and to advise the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on such matters. Idea Generation

CATIE’s Professional Development programs, such as the Agency Task Force and the Chancellor’s Summit Program Committee, aid students and faculty enhance their creative potential as well as their research and development in innovative teaching and learning, and keeping up with current and emerging trends.


The development of processes and procedures that support idea generation. The Accessibility/Universal Design, Quality Assurance, and Software Evaluation and Collaborative Pricing Task Forces are integral in ensuring system members are able to enact their visions.

Committed to ensuring all of CATIE’s programs fall within federal and state regulations adhere to federal and state regulations and staying up-to-date with relevant issues.
