2023 Chancellor’s Conference on Academic Technology

The Texas A&M System Council for Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE) proudly announces the 2023 Texas A&M Chancellor’s Conference on Academic Technology to be held onsite and remotely on June 26-27, 2023. This year’s theme, Reimagining Higher Education, will explore innovative and transformative uses of academic technology across the Texas A&M University System.

Conference Program Tracks:
  • Reimagine Communities: Sessions that explore digital tools and technologies used to support diverse community needs and create equitable learning environments (e.g., neurodiversity, mental health support, and educational gaps).
  • Reimagine Innovation: Sessions that examine new initiatives and possibilities at the campus and system levels (e.g., credentialing)
  • Reimagine Technology: Sessions that explore advances in technology, including concerns and opportunities as they relate to, or affect, the academic mission (e.g., ChatGPT)
  • Reimagine Connections: Sessions that reimagine how technology can help connect and engage communities (e.g., social media, experiential learning, work-education connections).

Pre-Conference Session

Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop

The APPQMR workshop is QM’s Flagship workshop on the QM rubric and the process of using the QM rubric to review online courses. It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrator, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the QM Rubric and process of course review.

In-person attendance at the 2023 Chancellor’s Conference on Academic Technology in Bryan/College Station on June 26-27, 2023, is required to participate in this workshop.

  • Day 1 (Online/Virtual):  Wednesday, June 21, 2023, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
  • Day 2 (In-Person at the Conference):  Monday, June 26, 2023, 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
