The Office for Student Engagement houses student organizations, student organization training, new student orientation and general campus programming. We are the catalyst for students to gather and make new relationships. How to establish a student organization
Attend a New Student Organization (NSO) Informational. Not all members of the group must attend, but anyone interested in a leadership position within should plan to be there. Vital information on how to complete the process will be shared at the meeting.
Submit a completed new student organization application to the Office of Student Engagement. Additional items or a meeting to discuss the organization and its mission, purpose and activities may be requested by staff members.
The completed application will be reviewed and the organization will be assigned a classification and categorization. Additional expectations may be assigned dependent on the proposed activities.
Upon approval, the student organization will receive an account number and additional information on completed the recognition process.
Resources for Current Student Organizations
Marketing Request Form: If your organization would like to have a flyer for your event posted on the monitors in the Academic Complex, please submit this form. Once your flyer is approved, it will be posted on the monitors. This form needs to be submitted at least one week before you would like the slide posted.
Student Organization Registration Form: All student organizations must submit a Student Organization Registration Form every academic year. This form is due on October 1st of every academic year.
RELLIS Campus Event Registration Form: All campus events must be registered and use this form. If you are a faculty or staff member representing an academic program, you must also submit an event registration form.

Student Organization Categories
There are three different types of student organizations, determined by an organization’s relationship to the university:
Sponsored Organizations
Considered to be critical to the mission and culture of the RELLIS Campus, sponsored organizations typically have a close relationships with a campus department or office. These types of student groups are required to have a full-time professional staff member sponsor whose job description designates them as the primary advisor to the sponsored organization.
Affiliated Organizations
Affiliated Organizations contribute to the mission and culture of the RELLIS Campus and often have a direct link to a larger, sponsored organization on campus. Affiliated advisors must be a full-time Texas A&M University System employee.
Registered Organizations
These organizations are capable of functioning with minimal support from the RELLIS Campus academic staff, but remain aligned with the mission and culture of the campus. Advisors may be a faculty member, professional or associate staff member, or a graduate student.

The RELLIS Student Advisory Council serves as the voice of students enrolled in classes at RELLIS. Focused on student engagement, this group works to cultivate an energetic and close community.

The first men’s organization on campus, named after the famed Texas Rangers. The four tenants of this group are respect, camaraderie, integrity and service.
RELLIS Royals
The RELLIS Royals is a women’s organization for students who want to build positive relationships with other women across campus through community service.
