Nominations of System Offices student employees written by employees of other system members or people outside the System are welcome also. You can fill out and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/system\/staff-council\/student-employee-of-the-semester-award\/student-employee-of-the-semester-nomination-form\/\">Submit the Form Online <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations are due by the tenth day of the month preceding the award month (i.e., February and November) or the next working day if the tenth falls on a weekend or System Offices holiday. Nominations will remain active for consideration for only one SOS award cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for consideration, the student employee must meet the following criteria:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The nominee must have four months continuous service with System Offices in a student worker or student technician position.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nominee must be attending an institution of higher learning or some other educational institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student must have been a credit to System Offices through his or her dedication, dependability, initiative, performance and punctuality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Employee of the Quarter (EOQ) Committee will serve as the selection committee for this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(For details on the make-up of the EOQ committee, please see the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/system\/staff-council\/employee-of-the-quarter-award-guidelines\/\">EOQ award guidelines<\/a>.<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid conflicts of interest, the EOQ committee members may not submit nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee will select the Outstanding Student Employee of the Semester Award recipient based on the following criteria:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dedication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dependability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Punctuality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student Employee of the Semester Award The Student Employee of the Semester (SOS) Award recognizes the efforts of System Offices student employees each spring and each fall semester.
