Branch Campus of Texas A&M University in the City of Nazareth

On the 23rd of October of the year 2013, at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, Israel, under the auspices of the President of the State of Israel, His Excellency Shimon Peres, the undersigned met in order to affirm the following:

Texas A&M University intends to build upon the work of the Nazareth Academic Institute to create a branch of a first class research university dedicated to enhancing educational opportunity for a diverse student body with instruction from a diverse faculty.

The Branch of Texas A&M University at Nazareth-Pea ce Campus will promote the shared interests of enhanced educational and entrepreneurial opportunities and serve as a model where people from all faiths can learn and study together.

Israel’s Council for Higher Education welcomes the Texas A&M University initiative to establish a branch campus in the Israeli city of Nazareth, to be called “The Branch of Texas A&M University at Nazareth-Peace Campus”, all subject to the Council For Higher Education Law,1958
