He brings extensive leadership experience in the convenience retail and fuel industries, having previously served as Partner at Jack&#8217;s Convenience Stores and Chief Operating Officer of Town &amp; Country Food Stores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;margin: 0in 0in 24.0pt 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat;color: black\">Mr. Brooks has a strong record of civic and community leadership. He is the Past Chairman of the Board of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce and a former board member of the City of San Angelo Development Corporation.\u00a0 He has also served as a Civic Leader supporting Goodfellow Air Force Base and the U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Texas A&amp;M University, Mr. Brooks earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1986. He was a member of the Texas A&amp;M Corps of Cadets and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;margin: 0in 0in 24.0pt 0in\"><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat;color: black\">In 2021, Mr. Brooks was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Greg Abbott. He currently serves his second term as Chairman of the Committee on Facilities Planning and Construction and is a member of the Committee on Audit and Risk Management. His previous service includes roles on the Committee on Academic and Student Affairs and as Chairman of the Special Committee on the Texas A&amp;M Corps of Cadets.
