Demetrius L. Harrell, Jr.

Demetrius L. Harrell Jr. Mr. Demetrius L. Harrell, Jr. is pursuing his degree in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Sociology and Legal Studies from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Mr. Harrell served honorably in the United States Marines, where he was responsible for an Amphibious Assault Vehicle and crew.

Demetrius is currently serving his second term as the President of the Campus Activities Board at A&M Commerce. He helps provide diverse, high-quality entertainment that promotes unity among the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and Commerce community. Mr. Harrell also served as the President of the African American Male Mentorship Program, where he was devoted to assisting the overall retention of African American males at A&M Commerce. Demetrius is also a brother of The Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and serves as Polemarch (president) of his chapter.

Mr. Harrell was appointed Student Regent of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents by Governor Greg Abbott. He is serving a one-year term to expire on May 31, 2023.
