The Texas A&M University System News Release

COLLEGE STATION, Texas —The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Board Meeting Room at 100 Gene Stallings Boulevard and immediately recess to executive session.

The Board will reconvene in open session at the Memorial Student Center (MSC) Bethancourt Ballroom 2300 D&E at approximately 2 p.m. During the public meeting, the board will consider action on several agenda items, including the following:

  • Authorization to construct a $130 million combat development complex for the Army Futures Command.
  • Approval of a $2.9 billion System Capital Plan for fiscal years 2020-2024.
  • Approval of fiscal year 2020 System operating budget.
  • Approval of construction for the RELLIS Academic Complex Phase II Project.
  • Possible action to name sole finalist for position of President of Tarleton State University.
  • Adoption of a Resolution Relating to the Texas Division of Emergency Management, A&M System.
  • Appointment of Director of Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.
  • Approval of a new Athletics fee at Texas A&M University-San Antonio.

Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
