The following helpful information pertains to matters related to the Office of the Attorney General\u2026

WHAT IS \u201cDOCUSIGN\u201d AND HOW IS IT USED?
<\/strong>DocuSign is the software used by the OAG for reviewing and electronically signing contracts and contract amendments.\u00a0 The individual(s) responsible for signing the document will receive an email directly from the \u201cDocuSign\u201d system stating that his\/her attention is needed in reviewing and signing the document.
\u21d2\u00a0IMPORTANT REMINDER:<\/b>\u00a0Should you have a question or concern before signing your electronic document, please contact our office immediately, rather than cancelling the document through the DocuSign system.\u00a0 Cancelling your document will cause huge delays, as the contract process will immediately terminate.<\/b><\/em><\/sub><\/p>\n

HOW IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE CALCULATED & HOW OFTEN MUST IT BE PAID?
<\/b><\/strong><\/b>Pursuant to subsection 402.0212(c) of the Texas Government Code, outside counsel must pay an administrative fee to the OAG for the review of invoices.\u00a0 The fee is non-refundable and is due each fiscal biennium.\u00a0 Outside counsel may not charge or seek reimbursement from the agency for the fee.<\/p>\n

The administrative fee is set on a sliding scale, based on the contract cap amount, as follows:

If the OCC is amended and the original limitation of liability amount is increased to an amount that would require a higher fee, outside counsel shall pay the difference between the original lesser fee, if already paid, and the new higher fee within thirty (30) calendar days of the date amendment is approved by the OAG and returned to the agency.
\u21d2\u00a0IMPORTANT REMINDER:\u00a0<\/b>No administrative fees are due on contracts with a maximum liability of $0.00, or on Intellectual Property (IP) contracts.<\/b><\/em><\/sub><\/p>\n

WHEN AND WHERE DO I PAY MY OAG ADMINISTRATIVE FEE?
<\/b>WHEN\u2026
<\/strong><\/em>The administrative fee is due to the OAG within thirty (30) calendar days of the date the proposed OCC is approved by the OAG and returned to the agency.\u00a0 If outside counsel has not submitted the required administrative fee within that time, the OAG\u2019s approval will be withdrawn and the OCC will be rendered void.
\u21d2\u00a0IMPORTANT REMINDER:\u00a0Please do not attempt to pay your administrative fee before you have received the approved and fully executed copy of your document from DocuSign. Your payment method must include your contract number, which will not be available until you have received the approved document from DocuSign.<\/em><\/sub><\/strong><\/p>\n
