Carla J. Krystyniak
Carla Krystyniak joined the Office of General Counsel in 2021 where she works in the Health and Business Affairs practice group, particularly focused on transactional and regulatory health law matters, as well as data, technology, and privacy matters, athletics, and outside counsel contracts. Prior to joining OGC, Carla served as a contract negotiator for Texas A&M University Sponsored Research Services. Before coming to College Station, she was lead legal fellow for the Equal Justice Works Disaster Recovery Legal Corps, based at Lone Star Legal Aid in Houston, Texas, working directly with Hurricane Harvey impacted clients. Carla came to Texas by way of Philadelphia where she served in the Regulatory Affairs Unit of the City of Philadelphia Law Department, focused on environmental and regulatory matters on behalf of the Department of Public Health, Air Management Services, Public Property, Office of Sustainability, and others. There she advised on transactional, regulatory, and compliance issues arising under CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, CWA, CAA as well as the state’s Land Recycling and Environmental Standards Act (Act 2), Air Pollution Control Act (APCA), Clean Stream’s Law, and others. While at the City of Philadelphia Law Department, Carla conducted civil enforcement actions on behalf of the Department of Public Health. Carla has also worked in the Villanova Interdisciplinary Health Law Clinic, served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer, and worked in the Texas Medical Center at Sabin Vaccine Institute.
