Most problems can be resolved through informal discussions between the employee and the immediate supervisor, department head or the Human Resources Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if an employee wishes to proceed in a formal manner, the employee must review the formal complaint process found in<a href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/32-01-02.pdf\"> System Regulation 32.01.02: Complaint and Appeal Process for Nonfaculty Employees<\/a> and then submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/assets\/files\/hr\/forms\/40.docx\">complaint and appeal form<\/a>\u00a0 to the Executive Director, Employee Services within (7) seven business days of the action that caused the complaint or (5) five business days of a reduction in force (RIF) notification. A complaint delivered to the Executive Director, Employee Services later than seven business days of the action that caused the complaint will be deemed untimely filed and will be dismissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Procedures related to discrimination, sexual harassment, or related retaliation allegations are initiated by filing a complaint with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.ethicspoint.com\/domain\/en\/report_custom.asp?clientid=19681\">Risk, Fraud and Misconduct Hotline<\/a>. Employees are encouraged to review System Regulation <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/08-01-01.pdf\">08.01.01 Civil Rights Compliance<\/a> prior to filing a formal complaint through the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.ethicspoint.com\/domain\/en\/report_custom.asp?clientid=19681\">Risk, Fraud and Misconduct Hotline<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees have the right to present complaints concerning their wages, hours of work, or conditions of work.
