System Regulation <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/31-01-09.pdf\">31.01.09 Overtime<\/a><\/span><\/strong> includes information regarding federal and state compensatory time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Rehabilitation Programs<br \/><\/strong>The Texas A&amp;M University System recognizes the cost of substance abuse to the workplace and is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all employees. Policies and regulations have been developed to minimize accidental injuries to persons or property; minimize absenteeism and tardiness and improve the effective job performance and productivity of all employees; identify resources for alcohol or drug rehabilitation for all employees when appropriate; and provide a program designed to prevent the use of illicit drugs and the abuse of alcohol.\u00a0 Reference the <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.system.tamus.edu\/files\/hr\/forms\/drug-alcohol.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Annual Awareness and Prevention Program Notice to System Offices Employees<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, as well as System Policy <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/34-02.pdf\">34.02 Drug and Alcohol Abuse<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and System Regulation <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/34-02-01.pdf\">34.02.01 Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Rehabilitation Programs<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity<br \/><\/strong>Federal regulations require that contractors and subcontractors may notify employees and applicants of their EEO rights electronically and must provide employees with knowledge that the electronically posted notice is otherwise accessible. Equal Employment Opportunity notices are available in English <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-06\/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-06\/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdf<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and in Spanish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-06\/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRightsSp6.12.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/2023-06\/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRightsSp6.12.pdf<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HIV\/AIDS in the Workplace<br \/><\/strong>The Texas Department of Health (TDH) offers the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dshs.texas.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/hivstd\/info\/edmat\/4-148.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">HIV\/AIDS in the Workplace<\/span><\/strong><\/a> brochure in order to educate employees about HIV\/AIDS in the workplace. \u00a0The Human Immunodeficiency Virus Service Act, Chapter 85, Texas Health and Safety Code, specifies that workplace guidelines be established to ensure that the rights and privileges of individuals infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) are protected.\u00a0 Please see System Regulation <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/34-04-03.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>34.04.03 HIV\/AIDS in the Workplace and Learning Environment<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Important Reminders<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/hr\/flexible-work-arrangements-alternate-work-location-flexible-work-schedule\/\">Flexible Work Arrangement<\/a><\/span><\/strong> agreements should be reviewed at least annually, and a new form completed when changes are made to the agreement.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/assets\/files\/hr\/forms\/202A.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">External Employment<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0forms require renewal each fiscal year or when the external employment arrangement is altered. See system regulation\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/31-05-02.pdf\">31.05.02 External Employment<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for more information.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/hr\/dress-code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Dress Code<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for System Offices employees is determined by the Chancellor or designee.<\/li>\n<li>Smoking and Use of Tobacco Products, reference the System Offices Rules\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tamus.edu\/assets\/files\/policy\/pdf\/34-05-99-S1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">34.05.99.S1<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Current employees must report arrests, charges or convictions as outlined in section 5.2 of the regulation <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.tamus.edu\/33-99-14.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>33.99.14 Criminal History Record Information \u2013 Employees and Candidates for Employment<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Consensual Relationships must be reported to Human Resources.
