System faculty and staff receive Regents Awards
Eighteen
professors and administrators with The Texas A&M University
System received the designation of Regents Professor or Regents Fellow
for 2004-2005 during the Jan. 26 meeting of the A&M System Board of
Regents. The Board established the Regents Professor Award program in 1996
and Regents Fellows Award program in 1997 to recognize employees who have
made exemplary contributions to their university or agency and to the people
of Texas.

The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of
Medicine has received approval to incrementally expand its class size
from 80 to 200 students per class.

Times
Texas A&M University's Mays Business School ranks first in the nation in
placing MBA candidates after graduation, and second for value for the money,
according to the London-based Financial Times' annual rankings of the worlds’ top
100 business schools.
West Texas A&M
University goes wireless
Secure wireless Internet service made its debut at West Texas A&M University
on Valentine’s Day with a ceremonial logon at Cornette Library. The
library is one of four locations on campus to go wireless with the inaugural
rollout of the system, dubbed “Buffalo Roaming.” Each wireless
location is known as a “Buff Roam Zone.”
A&M-Kingsville
College of Agriculture and Human Sciences gets new name
The scope of ranching in South Texas has expanded to include
wildlife and range management. To reflect this change, the College of Agriculture
and Human Sciences at Texas A&M University-Kingsville has adopted a
new name, the College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences.
