James P. Wilson »

James P. “Jim” Wilson of Sugar Land received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting degree from Texas A&M University and began his career in 1981 as a Certified Public Accountant with the international accounting firm of Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young).

Mr. Wilson serves as Managing Director of Rock Hill Capital Group, a private equity investments firm.  Prior to joining Rock Hill, Mr. Wilson was a founder and Managing Partner of RSTW Partners (RSTW), a Houston, Texas based mezzanine debt and private equity firm.

Mr. Wilson is a past member of the Mays Business School Development Board and past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the 12th Man Foundation of Texas A&M University.

Mr. Wilson has been a director of a number of corporate and charitable boards including the Fort Bend Education Foundation.

Mr. Wilson was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Rick Perry in 2007.  He served as Vice Chairman of the Board from 2009 to 2011.  He currently serves on the Board of the University of Texas Investment Management Corporation (UTIMCO).  He also serves as chair of the Committee on Audit and as a member of the Buildings and Physical Plant Committee, the Policy Review Committee and the Board for Lease of University Lands.  His term on the Board expires February 1, 2013.
