The purpose of the Junior Faculty Workshop is to increase the interaction of junior faculty with research peers systemwide, to provide opportunities for System junior faculty to develop research partnerships centered among common research and educational interests, and to identify, targeted funding opportunities, and competitive strategies for research success.  A focus of this year’s workshop includes discussions on overcoming barriers to research funding and developing systemwide collaborations.

Day 1 of the workshop will offer a chance for faculty to meet and discuss research and educational initiatives and building partnerships across the System through participation in a series of Table Topics (see listing below).  Day 2 will include a session on developing competitive proposals to federal agencies and foundations and concluding with a session on the System’s Office of Technology Commercialization.
