The chancellor serves as chief executive officer of the A&M System under the direction of the Board of Regents. The A&M System is a statewide network of nine universities, seven state agencies and a comprehensive health science center that educates more than 103,000 students, reaches another 15 million people through service each year and brings in $620 million in externally funded research every year to help drive the state’s economy.
