It is highly recommended that unassigned credit card transactions greater than 30 and 60 days report be reviewed monthly. Any greater than 30 days needs to be escalated and assigned to an expense report immediately. We can only dispute credit card transactions with the bank up to 60 days. If older than 60 days the department will be responsible for fraudulent transactions as they cannot be disputed older than 60 days. The assignment of the transaction to an expense report (does not have to be submitted, just assigned) takes the place of the review and reconcilement of the transactions in the previous process.
