The only undergraduate students who attend the Health Science Center are dental hygiene students in the Allied Health program of the College of Dentistry. They transfer in during their junior year, then complete a two-year program.

While the majority of enrollment comes from the Metroplex where the HSC undergraduate program is located, programs are advertised state-wide and applications from all regions are encouraged.

Analysis of the Criteria used to admit students
Periodic reviews of the criteria against actual performance after admission are performed. Use of grades, scores on national examinations and licensing exams are utilized in this review. Successful meeting of the criteria offers a good prediction of academic success in the program.

Analysis of the criteria used to award financial aid
Students who complete the required application and meet criteria receive financial aid. As always, there continues to be a need for more scholarship support. All aid applicants are evaluated based on the above criteria and aid is awarded to eligible applicants based on their individual situations and the availability of aid.
Comparison of this institution to peer institutions in-state and out-of-state
The Health Science Center offers a high value education to students while the cost is average compared to the rest of the state.
