The Texas A&M University System Internal Audit Department provides a high level of professional service to The Texas A&M University System by following established professional standards and ensuring that its auditors have appropriate technical proficiency and educational background as mandated by the Texas Internal Auditing Act.

Staff members participate in professional associations and related certification programs, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors , the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
