TIBH Field and Commodity Code Changes

A new "TIBH" field has been added to Screens 241, 236, 224 and 264. It is used to indicate the reason that TIBH (Texas Industries for the Blind and Handicapped) was or was not used as a vendor for a bid or purchase. It is an optional field, but can be set so that it is required.

The Commodity Code can now be required at the departmental level.

These changes are controlled on Screen 310 on a campus by campus basis. In order to implement either of these for your campus, contact FAMIS User Services to have it set up in Training and Production.

Confidential Indicator

A Confidential Indicator is now available on the voucher screens including both the voucher header screens and the screens for voucher line items. It provides the ability to flag a voucher as "confidential" even if the object code is not one of the object codes designated by the current Comptroller List of Confidential Codes.

In essence, the voucher preparer now can manually mark a voucher or line items as "confidential" by setting the Confidential Indicator. The Confidential Indicator can be entered for both State and Local Vouchers. For more information on this process see the Accounts Payable User's Manual.

This field is located on the following FAMIS screens: 104, 345, 168 and 169.

CANOPY Updates

New features and modifications have been added to CANOPY. A new process is now available for departments to transfer property (assets) to another department within the same agency. Click on the CANOPY link on the menu bar to read more about this process and learn about the additional enhancements that have recently been made to CANOPY.
