FAMIS Services is Moving December 9-12, 2011

FAMIS Services is included in the move of the System Offices to the John B. Connally Building.  The following are important points to note about our move:

• Due to the move, System Offices will be CLOSED December 9 and possibly December 12.
• Servers will be transported on December 10, causing a disruption in email services, CANOPY applications, Change/Enhancement requests, and FAMIS on-line report and program requests.  Plans are for these servers to be back up and running by December 12.
• FAMIS Production Services will be running REGULARLY SCHEDULED JOBS while operating out of a temporary work space on the TAMU campus (i.e., check printing, ACH, purchase order printing).
• FAMIS Production Services can accept faxes to 979-845-2074.  Please use this number during the move time period only.
• Please keep calls to FAMIS Production Services and FAMIS Help to a minimum during this time as we will have a limited number of staff members to assist with phone calls.
• Calls for FAMIS Production Services should be made ONLY to 979-458-6470.  This is the only number that will be forwarded for calls during the move.
• Calls for FAMIS Help (and Security) should be made ONLY to 979-458-6464.  This is the only number that will be forwarded for calls during the move.

FAMIS Help has established a temporary Gmail account for the move and FAMIS Help email will be automatically forwarded to this account while the servers are being moved.  This will allow us to answer your email questions from remote locations and coordinate answers to you.  Continue to send your email questions to famishelp@tamu.edu, but be aware that the reply you receive will be from famishelp@gmail.com.  DO NOT SEND EMAIL TO THIS TEMPORARY EMAIL ACCOUNT.

Additional information will be communicated via FAMIS Updates email messages in the coming days.
