Dr. Joni E. Baker has been Manager of Equal Opportunity for The Texas A&M University System since May 2002. Prior to that, she was Manager of Community Development for the A&M System.

From 1984 to 1995, Dr. Baker was a Diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, serving at embassies in Africa and Asia.
