The Tobacco Premium Flag and Amount are updated once a month, not immediately after the Tobacco User Flag is updated. The timing of the update is dependent upon whether the insured person is on payroll deduction or billing.
• Payroll Deductions – The Tobacco Premium Flag and Amount are updated when MONPAY50 runs just before the first biweekly payroll.
• Billing – The Tobacco Premium Flag and Amount are updated when BILL0008 runs about the 20th of each month.
If a change to a Tobacco User Flag is made after either of these BPP jobs have run for the month, the Tobacco Premium Flag and Amount will not be updated until the corresponding job runs again the next month.
