Approval of a Center or Institute

At the May 2013 Board of Regents meeting the Board changed the process in approving new centers and institutes and no longer require the concept paper.  Requests to establish new centers and institutes now only require the submission of the executive summary.

The proposal is presented to the Board of Regents as an agenda item that includes the Agenda Item Briefing, Minute Order, and Proposal.  The BOR votes to approve the establishment of the center or institute.
