TTVN - Connecting Texans Through Technology

The A&M System's statewide network is connected across the state by some of the most advanced technology available. Fiber optics, satellites and the Internet feed information to and from system universities and agencies in all parts of the state.

The Trans-Texas Video Conference Network (TTVN), a service of the A&M System, represents the very best in modern technology and distance communication. The TTVN, which is already one of the largest academic video conference networks in the nation, has grown from 12 network locations to 106 since 1990. Facilities are available in more than 40 cities throughout the state and in Mexico City. A record number of 180 distance learning courses, involving all A&M System universities, were transmitted over the TTVN last year.
